I am a lucky lady who has clever friends who do clever things! My friend Lisa the founder of Therapy Masters here in the ACT has launched a fabulous new initiative in Canberra that aims to connect and inspire people.
Canberra Wise Women
I got hang out with some amazing ladies who got up before the birds the other day to be part of a fun photo shoot to promote next week’s Wise Women’s launch.
Canberra Wise Women is a new venture providing an interview-style forum for local women to publicly share their stories of inspiration.
While we will be interviewing local women, our events are open for both men and women to attend. We want everyone to be inspired by the stories and knowledge that we share so that our audience leaves ready to ‘Inspire Their World’.
Meet the speakers
- Kate Seselja from The Hope Project who overcame a gambling addiction.
- The 2016 ACT Finalist Young Australian of the Year Nip Wijewickrema, who with her family operate GG’s Flowers. A business that is socially sustainable and employs people with special needs.
- Emma and Carla Papas, The Merrymaker Sisters, who are spreading the word of paleo health and tasty eating.
Emma Grey from WorkLifeBliss is this event’s interviewer and having heard her speak first hand at the recent Canberra Wellness Hub meeting, I can tell you that Emma is fabulous to listen to! She had us laughing, crying and holding our breath with the stories she shared.
