HINTS + TIPS

If you are getting photos before your ceremony here’s some great tips for a relaxed morning that will have you calm and ready to walk down the aisle.

  • Limit the amount of people you have around you. You want to be in the moment of preparing for the day and don't need extra people around who don't need to be there. Delegate task management to someone trusted so you are not being constantly interrupted with little things (eg- your head bridesmaid or best man can take calls about flower arrival, caterers questions and even family members asking things like "what time do I need to be there again?). This limits stress and allows you to enjoy the moment with your nearest and dearest.

  • Give yourself at least a 30 minute window to just "be" before heading to your ceremony. What this looks like is up to you (it might be a quiet drink with the girls or guys attending you, a calm stroll somewhere, a lounge room disco party)

  • CLEAN UP the mess - delegate someone to be in charge of removing extra stuff lying around (think opened suitcases with clothes spilling out of them, empty plates full of crumbs, plastic wrappers on bedside tables etc). You will be able to look back at beautiful photos of you getting ready without being distracted by the dirty clothes pile in the background.

  • WINDOW LIGHT If you're getting hair and make-up done, ask the stylist to do it by a window. Makes for much better photos 🙂

  • DETAILS Look out details you want to be photographed and have them looked out (your wedding invite, the rings, jewellery, shoes etc)
