YOUR NEWBORN PHOTO SESSION

A unique photo session to document those early days at home with your newborn. I capture you at home spending time with baby, cuddles, snuggles, sleepy smiles & quiet moments. This session is for people who want lovely natural photographs of their early days at home with their new baby. Only available in the first 8 weeks of baby coming home.

WHEN DO WE SEE OUR PHOTOS?

About 2 weeks after your session you get to see your online gallery. You can decide on how best to display your photos and order online or in person.There will be a mixture of coloured and classic black-and-white photos.

WHERE WILL YOU TAKE OUR PHOTOS?

On the day I will walk around identifying the best light and locations in your home. I often seek out blank walls near window light, the master bed for family snuggles and baby’s bedroom.

BUT MY HOUSE IS NOT PHOTO PERFECT

Whose house is? And that’s perfectly ok because this photo session is about creating memories of who you are at this moment in time. In years to come, these images will become treasured items to pass onto your children and grandchildren as they grow. I do suggest that you clear away surfaces of things like tissue boxes from bedside tables and other little things that might create a distraction in the background of your photos.

WILL WE HAVE TO POSE?

There will be a few relaxed posed photos with you looking at the camera and many of you interacting with your new baby. We are guided by baby so there will be cuddles on the bed, feeding times, cups of tea and nappy changes. We might wrap baby up nice and snug for some photos on the bed. If there are siblings baby can have quiet cuddle times with them too. I often document close up details of baby’s little squishy tummy and toes too.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Wear what is comfortable for you. I suggest plain coloured clothing so not to distract from the superstar of the photo session -you and your baby. Look out any blankets or items that are special to you (the knitted beanie or booties from nana) and we will incorporate them somewhere as well.

MATERNITY SESSION

WHAT DO WE WEAR?

What to wear at your maternity photo session with Canberra photographer Tracy Lee — Look out your favourite dress that is form-fitting to show off your bump.
A skirt and singlet top with an overshirt. We can roll it up if you want to see your beautiful bump.
Your favourite undies top and bottom set with a loose open shirt to let bump peek out.
Go for simple cuts and colours.
**TIP**
Try not to wear anything with tight elastic on your belly for a few hours as they can leave marks on your tummy. Watches, and tight socks can do the same.

LOCATION

AT HOME

In the master bedroom, lounge room, by a window. I have even shot in the bathroom if the light is beautiful! It’s private, warm and you can get around in your undies!
