HOW TO GET A PHOTO WITH EACH TABLE AT YOUR WEDDING RECEPTION
Here's two fun ideas to get a photo with each table at your wedding reception.
A trending game called the "Table Dash" solves a lot of the logistical issues in getting everyone in a fun photo without taking too much time away from your reception party.
So how do you play?
"TABLE DASH" Game 1
Hit up your DJ before the wedding day to organise. They will be (or your MC for the night) the ones facilitating the game! At a point in the evening when guests are in their seats your DJ/MC will make an announcement that the game is starting.
The goal of the game? Get a photo with each table before the song ends.
Select an upbeat and long song, preferably close to 5 minutes in length. If your DJ has done this before, they may have some suggestions for you.
When the song starts, the wedding couple runs to each table with their photographer close behind. You will want to select some sort of order like table number, left to right, front of the room to back, so the tables ahead have an idea you're coming and can get prepared.
Strike a pose! Pose with each table of guests as your photographer snaps away.
"GUEST DASH" Game 2
Like the above but your table guests come to YOU! Set yourselves up on the dance floor in a chair each. The DJ calls out a table group/number and that table has to dash up to you, strike a pose and the photographer grabs the shot. The DJ then continues to call out each table at a time before the song ends!
AND HEY……
If you don’t have set tables at your reception, you can get creative with calling people / groups up!
Have pre-prepared groups up on a sign for people to familiarise themselves with as they enter.
Call out set groups (the uni mates, the gym gang, the gamers group etc)
You DON’T have to go at a fast pace. You may have guests with mobility concerns. Skip doing the Dash Game to music and simply get your MC to call out each table at a time. Then people can take their time coming to you! You can also make allowances for those who will need you to come to them for a photo.
